Happy Easter Sunday! Whether you are religious or not, the “Serenity Prayer ” is a reminder to acknowledge and let go of the things you can’t control. This is a helpful technique to manage your anxiety.
When I was a little girl, my grandmother had this wooden plaque that sat on her mantle next to her rosary beads. I used to read it every time I would visit:
“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
“Acknowledging and letting go” begin with the practice of mindfulness to help you identify any patterns of what is holding you back.
Then give yourself permission to let go of these behaviors or traits that no longer serves you.
Practice self acceptance : “ Acknowledge and practice your worth”
Being able to let go of the things you can’t control will save your energy for things that truly matter.
