I will continue to show up…

In moments like these, when disappointment and anger feel overwhelming, it’s natural to wonder how much progress we’ve truly made. It’s sad to admit, but the truth is that many people still struggle to accept the leadership and voices of women. We saw that in this election—many chose a familiar face over a future that looked different. But that doesn’t mean we stop, and it doesn’t mean we’re powerless.

We’ve known all along that change isn’t easy. We’ve felt it in every struggle, every hard-earned victory, and every time we’ve had to keep moving forward even when it felt like no one else was listening. This journey, especially for women of color, has always required strength. Women have carried so much, often without the support they deserve, but they continue to lead, to vote, and to stand up for what’s right.

This is where we take a breath, stand tall, and hold on to the power we know we have. America might not be ready to change as quickly as we wish, but every action we take still matters. The light we bring, the choices we make, and the courage we carry—they all add up, and they reach further than we may see right now.

So to everyone who feels tired, disappointed, and angry: know that these feelings are a sign that you care deeply about building something better. Let that fire push you forward, not hold you back. Keep showing up, keep speaking out, and keep shining. Change is slow, but it’s also unstoppable when we don’t give up. Our voices are powerful, and even when the path feels long, remember that we’re building a future worth fighting for, one day at a time.
