Journey into the African Safari

It was love at first sight on my first day in South Africa.

An incredible, unbeatable, South African Safari date, was the perfect first date.   Designed so meticulously just for me and my friend Tess, by the best tour guide ever, Joel. 

Our journey began with Joel's enthusiasm as he picked us up from our hotel. He prepared a cup of coffee and biscuits for us to savor while taking in the breathtaking view of the untamed wilderness from atop a hill. Joel ensured we were in a safe area so I can do my safari mile, allowing Tess & I to fully immerse ourselves in the wonders of nature.

 Joel prepared a wonderful safari picnic with homemade grits -he made right there- my favorite!  He also grilled a delicious lunch infused with authentic flavors, as he shared traditional African recipes. History facts, wildlife info, he knows everything about everything about this remarkable sanctuary.

Over a bottle of exquisite local wine thoughtfully brought by Joel himself, we found ourselves sharing our personal stories. It was amazing to learn how our narratives intertwined and connected in such unexpected ways. In that moment, three newfound friendships formed right in the middle of this awe-inspiring landscape. 

Grateful for Tess & Joel for an amazing first day in South Africa. I know that their companionship elevated this adventure into something truly unforgettable. 

Take this lesson to heart: Seize each day with boundless curiosity and embrace the beauty that surrounds you. Mindfulness and a sense of wonder can transform even the simplest experiences into extraordinary memories that will stay with you for a lifetime.
